There are currently no openings available for this course.This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to operate and maintain a four wheel drive vehicle in the resources and infrastructure industries.
It applies to those working in supervisory and technical specialist roles. They generally work under minimal supervision to undertake a broad range of skilled applications in varied work contexts, using some discretion and judgement in selecting equipment, services or contingency measures.
All learners must be able to read and comprehend English to a level that will enable them to safely perform duties as specified in the competency standard. PreStart Safety & Training recognises that some learners may require more support to meet the requirements of the training course. We will endeavour to meet these needs with regards to; language, literacy and numeracy skills. Learners are encouraged, prior to commencing the course and where applicable, to complete an PreStart Safety & Training LLN analysis, which will assist the Trainer/Assessor to interpret individual skill level and manage this from the onset. Learners must complete and return a pre-course assessment (as supplied by PreStart Safety & Training).
All successful applicants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment: RIIVEH305F – Operate and maintain a four-wheel drive vehicle.
